As we go into the New Year, I thought it was about time that I started posting a few of my thoughts on the world of photography.
After a break of over 12 months, I entered an International Exhibition ~ Smethwick. I was fortunate enough to get 3 accepted colour prints, one of which won the RPS Gold Medal. What was just as important was the number of landscape images that were accepted, it was fantastic to see so many projected and hanging on the exhibition wall. One of the reasons I stopped entering exhibitions was that, as a landscape photographer, I might as well just send in the money. Landscapes are becoming a rare commodity and Smethwick was a breath of fresh air.
